Science Curiosity
Children observe, predict, test and discover through safe, age-appropriate experiments.
Creative STEM for ages 4–16
WonderLab STEM designs hands-on STEM workshops, clubs and school programmes that help children build confidence, creativity, problem-solving skills and future-ready thinking.
Why WonderLab STEM?
WonderLab STEM helps children learn by doing: building, testing, coding, experimenting, asking questions and improving their ideas. Programmes can be adapted for preschool, primary and junior school learners, from playful science missions to coding, robotics, digital creation and innovation challenges.
About the founder
WonderLab STEM was created by Xenia Andreou, a Senior Software Engineer with experience in technology projects, mentoring young learners and introducing children to creative STEM.
The goal is to make science and technology feel accessible, playful and empowering for children of different ages.
Children observe, predict, test and discover through safe, age-appropriate experiments.
Children design, build, test and improve solutions using simple materials and structured challenges.
From screen-free coding to robotics and app ideas, children develop logic and computational thinking.
Every session encourages children to try, adjust, collaborate and feel proud of their ideas.
No prior STEM, coding or robotics experience is needed. Activities are adapted to each age group, confidence level and learning pace.
Programme pathways
WonderLab STEM can be offered as weekly clubs, short pilots, school workshops, holiday camps or one-off STEM events.
Play-based STEM for preschoolers: experiments, building, nature discovery, storytelling and coding without screens.
View preschool programmeCustom primary school workshops and pilot programmes with engineering challenges, beginner robotics, logic games, science labs and creative problem-solving.
Project-based workshops adapted to the school’s needs: robotics missions, coding basics, game logic, inventions, prototypes and teamwork challenges.
Mentoring and digital creation sessions for older students: app ideas, web projects, AI concepts, design thinking, entrepreneurship and real-world problem solving.
STEM mentoring & real-world inspiration
WonderLab STEM is inspired by hands-on STEM experiences with young learners, including coding workshops with teen girls where students explored technology, created their first digital projects and discovered how STEM can be creative, practical and empowering.
This experience supports our wider vision: from playful early-years discovery to coding, app ideas, web projects, AI concepts and mentoring for older students.
A hands-on coding experience where teenage girls explored web and mobile app development and created their first digital projects.
Students moved from ideas to simple working projects, building confidence through practical creation.
These workshops connect naturally with WonderLab Innovators for older students interested in coding, AI, web projects and entrepreneurship.
Featured preschool pathway
A kindergarten-friendly programme with short, hands-on STEM missions. Children explore science, engineering, nature, early maths and coding without screens through play.
Example workshops
A space-themed chemistry activity for young children using observation, prediction and safe reactions.
Children design, test and improve bridges using simple materials and teamwork.
Younger children use arrows and movement; older children can progress to robotics and coding projects.
Age-appropriate robotics challenges that introduce sequencing, logic, debugging and collaboration.
Activities around plants, water, recycling, habitats and environmental problem-solving.
For older children and teens: idea generation, prototyping, simple web projects and creative technology.
For schools and organisations
Safe and age-appropriate
Activities use simple materials, clear instructions and adult supervision. Sessions are delivered in collaboration with the school and follow the school’s safety and supervision policies. Content is adjusted by age: younger children focus on hands-on discovery, while older children move towards structured challenges, coding, robotics, design thinking and real-world projects.
